So I took pictures of my dog because he is probably one of my favorite subjects to shoot! I think the rules of thirds is interesting. Comparing these two photos I would have to say I like the second shot on the right compared to straight on. I think its interesting that you can get almost a completely different shot just by moving the subject to one side or the other of a photo. I think knowing this rule, I am going to be more conscious about it, and try it out more often! I'm sure I have done it in the past, but did not know the name for it! (I had to shrink the photos to make them come out side by side. Hopefully it works!)

I agree, it's so weird how the shot changes completely with just a tiny difference in angle, yours is a very good example. Love how you got the dog to look at the camera for both, too cute!
ReplyDeleteHow could keep your dog still that long haha for my picture of the frames I had to take a whole bunch because she kept getting up and coming to me. But I like your pic it changes your perspective it almost seems as your dog could have a longer/bigger body in the 2nd photo because you can just see its head.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! I agree the one using the rule of thirds is very nice. Cute dog...pugs make great models!
ReplyDeleteVery cute dog. I take photos of pugs at the green mt pug social every year. Do you go?
ReplyDeleteVery nice job
Ohhhhh he's so cute. These picture's came out really good. It looks like your dog is thinking something like "why are you taking my picture?" lol. :P
ReplyDeleteIt's always great to do a Rule of Thirds study with something you love so much...because you really can notice the difference! I love dogs...
